“I sense that we choose to incarnate into a physical body in order to express love, passion, and the full range of other human emotions not available to us separately in the state of pure awareness and Oneness. What if this life on this planet is the main show, where the action is, and where we wanted to be? This reality is a playground of expression. It looks as though we aren’t here to learn or gather experiences for the afterlife. There doesn’t seem to be much purpose in that because we don’t need any of it there. Rather, we’re here to experience and evolve this physical universe and our own lives within it. I made my decision to return when I realized that life here was the most desirable state for me at this time. We don’t have to wait until we die to experience nirvana. Our true magnificence exists right now!” Anita Moorjani; Dying to Be Me

The paradigm of oneness is a set of three principles that provide a starting point, not a conclusion, for our thinking. How we think of the nature of God, the nature of ourselves, and the nature of our relationship with God will guide our thinking as it pertains to our earthly experience.

I present Anita Moorjani’s thoughts here because they support an alternative to the concept of an evolving soul. One who sees themselves as incomplete and evolving will take a different approach to life than one who sees their soul as complete and seeing the physical incarnation as “a playground of expression.” The principles that make up the paradigm of oneness are not fixed, but provide a wide range of possibilities of thought. Think of the principle of aerodynamics, for example. Adhering to these principles does not mean that only one kind of airplane will result as we apply them. The Wright brother’s kite-like apparatus was born from the same principles used to develop the F-18 fighter jet.

I have come to believe that one of the most import shifts in our thinking is the move from I am incomplete and evolving to I am complete and I am here to express my completeness in a way that only I can. If God is present, I am an expression of God, and I am one with God right now, the doors of greater expression must begin to open if I accept this truth and begin to see every situation as an important aspect of the “main show” now playing in a situation near you.
