J Douglas Bottorff
“For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you” (Matthew 17:20).
As encouraging as these words of Jesus are, there are times when faith, even as small as a grain of mustard seed, is difficult to claim. Any faith we do have, in fact, seems stronger in the negative appearance than in the good we desire. What are we to do?
It has been said that when we reach the buy cheap propecia online end of our rope, the best thing is to let go. The implication here is that our faith has been in the rope rather than in the greater good God has in store for us. We’ve been clinging to a certain outcome that makes sense to us. Now this outcome is challenged. But what if there is a greater good, a better way through our challenge that we are not seeing?
We never lack faith, but we can easily misdirect it to lesser good than that which is for the best and highest. If we examine ourselves in our moments of fear, those times when we feel we have no faith whatsoever, we’ll see that we are momentarily overwhelmed by the fact that our version of life, as we believe it should be, is threatened, and we see no possibility of buy cialis super force prescription removing that threat. Our faith is still active, but it has turned to the worst possible outcome.
We remove the threat by finding our center of power. As scripture reminds us, that which is in you is greater than that which is in the world. You and I are greater than any outcome, any unexpected change, any turn of events and conditions that threaten to overwhelm us. Spoken in silence, the affirmation, Be still, and know that I am God, becomes an empowering reminder that your faith is intact, that you have the strength and the wisdom to move forward because God, not the offre viagra rope, is your unfailing source.
