YouTube: The Art of Prayer
Part III presents prayer as the companion practice to meditation. Meditation opens awareness to the inner source; prayer carries that awareness into the actual conditions of daily life.
The purpose of prayer is not to persuade God to act, manipulate circumstances, or substitute spiritual language for practical wisdom. Prayer is the conscious work of adjusting awareness to spiritual reality so that thought, feeling, speech, choice, and action may become clearer channels for the soul.
The central distinction is between the discount ca viagra soul, which is already whole, and consciousness, which may or may not reflect that wholeness. Consciousness gathers impressions, memories, fears, expectations, and choices into a living system. If that system is organized around appearances, limitation, or fear, experience will usually reflect those qualities.
If consciousness is opened, clarified, and aligned with the Creative Life Force, the qualities of the soul can find freer expression.
This is why prayer begins within. We do not deny facts or avoid responsibility; we release the false meanings, emotional charges, and limiting self-images through which we have been meeting those facts.
Denial, rightly understood, is release. Affirmation is establishment in spiritual truth. Together they form a practical method for transforming consciousness in the present moment. A denial names and releases the fear, resentment, loneliness, shame, or limitation that has taken root in awareness. An affirmation establishes peace, wisdom, love, courage, freedom, order, or wholeness as the governing reality from which we now choose to live. Words have value only as they direct genuine inner movement.
Prayer becomes effective when it is felt, lived, and carried into behavior. To pray without ceasing is therefore not to repeat religious words endlessly, but to live in continuing alignment with the Creative Life Force as it seeks expression through us.
