And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the diflucan order mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. (1Kings 19:11-12).

The wind, earthquake and fire represent great powers of nature. The message here is that the Lord communicates, not through these external forces, but through “a still small voice.”
We live in a culture that considers reality as objective in nature. The scientific process that guides much of our thinking consists of “systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses.” In other words, if we can see it, weight it, measure it and accurately predict its behavior through experimentation, then it must be real. This explains why 93 percent of the members of the National Academy of Sciences, one of the most elite scientific organizations in the United States, do not believe in God.
The language of the soul, the still small voice, is subjective in nature. It does not generate sound waves that can be recorded with even the most sensitive listening devices. The soul, in fact, does not “speak” in audible tones. It imparts itself as direct knowing. It does not issue guidance or instruction concerning specific events or personal circumstances. It radiates a direct impartation of itself which impacts the recipient in a way that influences their perception of events and personal circumstances.
Your soul does not tell you what to do. It directly imparts what you are at the deepest level. This impartation provides the guiding influence that determines your course in any given situation.
