Click for audio: Our Intuitive Mother

With today being Mother’s Day, it’s a good time to not only show appreciation for our mothers but to also consider our own intuitive mother.

In our metaphysical literature we commonly find the cialis generic canadian intellect represented as masculine and the intuition represented as the feminine aspects of our mind. The intellect is that thinking aspect that weighs, measures and processes information. The intuitive aspect is our ability to know directly without the normal senses input of the intellect. The Virgin Birth is a biblical depiction of intuitive knowing (Mary), an inner receiving of a divine radiance that is inaccessible to the intellect (Joseph). The intellect is informed of this radiance, not by the senses, but by the intuition. As Emilie Cady taught, “Intuition and intellect are meant to travel together, intuition always holding the sale synthroid reins to guide intellect.”

Because it is our intellect that gets so busy sorting through the business of living life, we tend to think of ourselves as an intellect with a soul. We need to remember the reverse is true. We are a soul with an intellect. It is good to remind ourselves of this often as we go through our day. There are many distractions that pull us away from the power center and the calm of our soul. The storms that sometimes rage through our lives are always at the mental and emotional levels. A few moments of awareness of the soul can work wonders in calming the disturbances of the mind.

Let this Mother’s Day be a reminder that there is so much more to you than this self-image that floats at the sometimes tumultuous surface of your being. You are a soul resting in the everlasting arms of God.
