This incident that has become known as the triumphal entry, has Jesus riding into Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey. The people are cheering him on, laying palm branches on the road in a show of respect. According to John, it was the people who had witnessed and heard of Jesus’ raising Lazarus from the dead, John’s way of foreshadowing, no doubt, Jesus’ own resurrection. Shortly after, Jesus speaks of this in metaphorical terms:

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit (John 12:24).

The spiritual principle illustrated here is the one we find in the ritual of baptism. A person is one thing before they are immersed in the baptismal pool, a sinner, and they are something different when they are brought up. They are cleansed of their sin. Before the seed falls into the ground, it produces nothing. When it falls into the ground and dies to its seed self, it grows and produces more.

We engage this same principle during meditation. We close our eyes, let go and release all concerns surrounding the life we are living. We turn our awareness to God within. In our conscious connection with God, we, in a sense, die to that part of ourselves that is entangled in the web we call our life. Realizing we are much more than this confused, reactive self, we touch our center of power and 安いレビトラ 購入 resurrect into our life with renewed vigor and confidence. We are born again.

Our key to this transformation is moving from the concept to the actual commitment to undergo this change. That which is in us is greater than that which is in the world, but to find this greater aspect requires a genuine letting go and trusting.
